How We Met
Without Kevin Spacey, Rob and Amy may never have met...
Unfortunately, no, he didn’t introduce them personally. Rob and Amy actually met online. Amy, who as a young girl was a huge Kevin Spacey fan (maybe not a conventional preteen heartthrob, but who can deny the man has talent!), initially emailed Rob because she recognized that he named his cat, Exley, after a character in one of her favorite Spacey movies, L.A. Confidential.
Through a few short emails, and many other great shared references, it became clear that they shared more than just good taste in movies and TV and decided to meet in person. Both recall during those first few dates- whether it was Amy’s offhand ‘Star Wars’ joke, or Rob’s perfect cartoon pantomime- that they knew this was a person they wanted to be around more.
They couldn’t have been more right.
Three years later, they get to spend everyday making each other smile and laugh, and they are looking forward to sharing many more years of the same.
